Quantum Hot Sauce

A drop of Hot Sauce oil or a dab of this grease will reap dividends far into the future in preserving your favorite reels.

We use the Quantum oil when replacing or cleaning the click pawl and spring. A drop will insure that the click pawl slides freely and smoothly in its pocket. We feel that the click pawl should be cleaned and lubricated at least once a year - or more often if you are a very active angler.

Quantum Grease is used for all other moving parts on the Medalist reels. Drag plates should be lubricated on both sides during installation. This includes the ramped indents as well as the inside bearing surfaces where the drag plate revolves around the brass or copper drag ratchet bearing. The brake adjusting screw should be kept lubricated at least seasonally as should the inside of the spool latch cover. The spool spindles can be lubed frequently to insure a smoooth running reel.

Use Quantum grease and oil often to preserve your Medalist. Your children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren will thank you!
